See Me...Feel Me
Just saw a picture in Rolling Stone of Roger Daltrey on stage at Woodstock. In his GLORY. Mop of hair, mutton chop sideburns, tight trousers, rockerly expression on his face, but most importantly: the fringed jacket. Balls-out, serious fringe, tons of it, so when he moved his arms the fringe floated around him in mesmerizing waves.

I wish that I could see the picture you're talking about. I do sorta find Roger mesmerizing in the movie 'Tommy'! But I'm sorry to say that I've never really been a fan of fringe. Now, a classic black leather jacket is a whole other story!
ReplyDeleteDude, that's awesome. (Don't kill me, but I couldn't identify Roger Daltrey in a line-up of '70s rockers.) I love the captivating image of that flowing fringe, though. I think bell-bottoms were supposed to captivate in sort of the same way, but they didn't really wave or float, just sort of awkwardly whisked.
